Relationship Manager – Oil, Gas & Power
About the position
Job Summary:
Identify, create and manage a book for Oil, Gas, Downstream & Power Companies in the Country not limited to the supply chain and providing solutions to the entire Associated Segment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementation of the Oil, Gas & Power Strategy as per the Growth Plan
- Identify, create and manage the portfolio of Large-Scale Accounts to increase the Gross Written Premium to Kes 200Mio
- Developing accounts based on cold calling or initial engagements
- Target Potential clients, make presentations, follow through and enhance the relationship
- Engaging the respective Intermediaries directly in the specific sector to create a strong alliance.
- Create Technical and commercial insurance proposals
- Joint Meetings to be arranged with the Intermediaries & Executives where necessary
- Referrals from the Existing clients on the supply chain to create a one-stop-shop
- Liaising with the Underwriting, Claims, and Reinsurance teams on the TAT for quotations.
- Create Niche products suitable for the principal and supply chain which brings value to the clients.
- Ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction for GA clients.
- Resolves customer complaints and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations
- Manage credit risk and, working with the Finance Department, take responsibility for ensuring all outstanding debts are collected
- Arrange Appreciation forums such as training, get-togethers to elevate the relationships
Job Holders Specifications:
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Business, Engineering. Candidates with degrees in Energy, Petrochemical, Chemical, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering will be preferred.
- MBA is an added advantage
- Must have attended training in Oil, Gas & Power
- Ability to converse in a foreign language
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales environment
- Must have sales development experience in the oil & gas / heavy industrial equipment market.
- Candidate must have demonstrable experience of creating and executing oil & gas industry-specific business strategies, planning, and market assessments
